HH Model 1448 BrakeSmart™ with Electric Back Drive and Braking Mechanism

Machine Description: High G-Force 1448 Standard Centrifuge with GB-53 Planetary Gearbox and Back Drive with Braking Mechanism. The main drive step sheave allows for two (2) fixed main drive speeds, 1,000 g's for barite recovery and 2100 g's for high speed polishing. The fixed speed back drive allows the operator to maintain a 60 RPM differential in barite recovery and the brake enables the operator to maintain a 60 RPM differential when the centrifuge is performing high speed polishing at 2100 g's.

The Hutchison Hayes Model 1448 Standard Decanting Centrifuge includes a rotating assembly dimensioned 14" diameter x 48" long. The rotating bowl is made from stainless steel and is centrifugally cast as one piece (not a welded assembly) in order to withstand corrosion and stress associated with high-speed operation. The conveyor is also constructed of stainless steel. This complete rotating assembly will be dynamically balanced. A NEMA 7 Class 1 Division 1 control panel is mounted on unit and features an emergency stop, start/stop controls for main drive, back drive, feed pump, with indicator lights for each.
